About Us
Kids' Corner is a parent-sponsored nonprofit licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, serving the Winchester, MA community since 1982 with dedicated teachers, enthusiastic kids, and a successful program model. We are now excited to take our program model and bring it on site to the Carroll School!
Kids’ Corner is a place where children can learn, have fun, play outside, make new friends, and be part of a true community. We promote education, enrichment, and personal growth through a variety of academic, social, sporting, and creative activities.
Our teachers are a blend of Kids’ Corner Winchester staff and Carroll School teachers. Our staff are experienced and well qualified teachers who have diverse backgrounds and degrees in the arts, athletics, education, history, music, and theatre.
Chris Grover and Matt Clougherty, are the Co-Assistant Program Directors from Carroll School who have several years of experience at the former Carroll School After School Program.
The program is overseen by Kids’ Corner’s Program Director, Lauren Bagley. Before Kids’ Corner, Lauren graduated from UMass Lowell with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in 2009. She lived in California for a few years and traveled a bit before moving back to Massachusetts. She has over 11 years of experience at Kids’ Corner in Winchester. She has taught in each classroom, but became a 4-5-6 Room Co-Lead Teacher and KC Xtreme Director (our middle school summer adventure program) around 2011. She enjoys art, hiking, canoeing and music. She is looking forward to continuing this venture here at the Carroll School.
